  1. Born on this date in 1608 was John Milton, one of the greatest poets of the English language, best known for his epic poem Paradise Lost.
  2. In 1992, Bill Wyman left The Rolling Stones after over 30 years with the group.
  3. The first episode of Coronation Street was shown on this date in 1960, though it was not networked until spring 1961. It was originally called Florizel Street.
  4. In 1854, Alfred Lord Tennyson's The Charge of the Light Brigade was published in The Examiner.
  5. In 2018, a Beaver was spotted and photographed in Northern Italy. They'd not been seen there since 1471.
  6. In 1884, Levant M. Richardson of Chicago received a patent for the ball-bearing Roller skate. It was invented as an aid for maintaining healthy feet and legs.
  7. Henry Cole realised he'd left it rather late to send out his usual Christmas letters on this date in 1843. He enlisted an artist and a printer and created the first Christmas cards.
  8. In 1968, electrical engineer and inventor Douglas Engelbart demonstrated the use of the "mouse," a device allowing computer users to interact with a display screen.
  9. On this date in 2004, the most expensive piece of furniture in the world, the Badminton Cabinet, was sold at Christies to Dr. Johan Kraeftner, director of the Liechtenstein Museum in Vienna, on behalf of Prinz Hans-Adam II of Liechenstein, for £19,045,250.00.
  10. In 2017, a populated hamlet called Alwine in the Uebigau-Wahrenbrück district of Germany was sold for €140,000 at a public auction.

A Superhero love story.

Sent away to school to get her away from undesirable company, Agnes finds herself homesick and lonely. A brief connection with Jason Warner leads to the teenage crush to end all teenage crushes. Jason is barely aware Agnes exists, but she plans her whole future around him.

It is only when they meet again as adults that the connection becomes mutual; but before it can develop, Jason makes a discovery which rocks his entire world. Agnes has no idea her new colleague and friend is a supervillain with his own agenda, and his willingness to babysit is not as innocent as she thinks. As Incendio starts teaching Seraphina to use her powers, the Freedom League intervene. Little do they know that they have found one of their own.
