21 March: Astrology Day: The Sign Most Likely To...

Whether or not you're a believer in Astrology, there have been numerous studies to find out whether certain star signs are more likely to enter certain careers or be successful. Here are 10 of the findings of such studies.

1. The sign most likely to hit the big time in the entertainment business is Sagittarius. The least likely sign to become a celebrity is Taurus.
2. The sign most likely to get rich is Aries. Analysis of the Forbes list of billionaires found more people born under that sign than any other.
3. Scorpio, Leo, Cancer, and Taurus are the most likely signs to do moderately well financially and earn $100,000 or more annually. At the other end of the scale, Aquarians and Capricorns were the most like to make less than $35,000 a year.
4. The sign most likely to get arrested is Cancer, often for quite serious crimes. A study of America's most notorious serial killers, however, found that more of them were Pisces and Gemini than any other sign. Leos are most likely to get done for speeding.
5. Leo women are twice as likely to join a gym than any other sign. Top athletes, however, are most likely to be Aquarians, with Cancerians coming in second.
6. Capricorns are most likely to commit adultery; or at least, sign up to a dating website to find a new partner.
7. Studies have found that schizophrenics are more likely to be born in January and March, so are more likely to be born under the signs of Aquarius or Pisces. However, in the Southern Hemisphere, people born in August are more likely to be schizophrenic. Hence scientists have concluded it's more to do with the weather than the stars.
8. Pisces, Cancer and Scorpio (the water signs) are the signs most likely to suffer from depression and to be suicidal.
9. Geminis have the most addictive personalities, not only of substances, but they tend to be hoarders or collectors. Taureans can become addicts because they are most likely to give in to peer pressure. Arians are most likely to be alcohol or drug abusers.
10. The most popular people are those born under the zodiac signs of Leo, Sagittarius and Pisces. Least likely to be popular? Scorpio, Virgo and Capricorn.
