- Makkah Royal Clock Tower Hotel Where: Mecca, Saudi Arabia. Height: 1.971 ft (601 m) Floors: 120 Opened: 2012 Fact: Incorporates the world's tallest clock tower and the world's largest clock face. The clock is equipped with flashing lights to signal Muslim prayer times to the pilgrims in Mecca.
- One World Trade Center Where: New York City, USA Height: 1.776 ft (541.3 m) Floors: 104 Open: 2014. Fact: Built on the site of the previous World Trade Center which was destroyed on 9/11; sometimes unofficially referred to as the Freedom Tower.
- Taipei 101 Where: Taipei, Taiwan Height: 1.670 ft (509 m) Floors: 101. Opened: 2004. Fact: It stands next to a circular park, which is the largest sundial in the world as the shadow of the tower can be used to tell the time.
- Shanghai World Financial Center Where: Shanghai, China. Height: 1.614 ft (492 m) Floors: 101 Opened: 2008. Fact: It has been nicknamed "the bottle opener".
- International Commerce Centre Where: Hong Kong Height 1.588 ft (484 m) Floors: 118 Opened: 2010. Fact: Home to the world's highest swimming pool.
- Petronas Towers 1 & 2 Where: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Height: 1.483 ft (452 m) Floors 88 Opened: 1999. Fact: The tallest twin tower structure in the world, and also the building with the deepest foundations.
- Zifeng Tower Where: Nanjing, China Height: 1.476 ft (450 m) Floors: 89. Opened: 2010. Fact: Its stepped shape is functional, separating the office space from the hotels, restaurants and observatory.
- Willis Tower (Sears Tower) Where: Chicago, United States Height 1.450 ft (442 m) Floors: 108. Opened: 1973. Fact: In 2009, the building's owners considered painting it silver at a cost of $50 million, but dropped the idea.
