Unsettled by her brother’s death, Fiona failed to get the A level grades for her chosen university, Cambridge, although she was able to take up an offer at Birmingham, where the Freedom League are based. She came to their attention when Obsidian came after her to remove the one obstacle between him and his father’s fortune. Knowing that she was a genetic variant and keen to learn to defend herself, Fiona undertook extensive training with the League, including fitness training with Richard Miller (aka Target). Although she disliked him at first, her feelings changed and she married him. They worked with the Freedom League until Richard entered politics and eventually became Prime Minister.
